Cooking Tip: "cooking with ginger: freeze and grate

Here's a random cooking tip I picked up along the way:
Buy one of those parmesan cheese graters and leave a chunk of ginger in it in the freezer.
Whenever you need ginger, grab and grate. (I put a bit in the teapot to give the tea a bit of kick) Add fresh ginger in 5 seconds. It's good for you!
