"You should write a book"... when people say this to me it sounds like work, but it might be worth jotting down a few things since my life is so bizarre... so: "diary of a videographer".
I'm a retired classical violist, aussie, living in New York City where I founded the New York Video Service after realizing that I had an eye for camera work and editing.
During a three year stint as a music Professor at the State University of New York, I began to fill my many days off with final cut pro activities, editing the footage gathered with a new camera, a wedding present given to me and my wife Rinat Shaham.
Rinat is a famous opera singer whom I like to visit regularly in her many places of work. It's great fun and very interesting and inspiring to travel in this manner, 'apartment based travel with a ready network of people to let us in the door of each city's inner circle'.
I'll post entries here quite regularly whether I'm at home in Manhattan, shooting corporate & documentary video, off shooting underwater video, or when I'm visiting Rini (when I have the most time on my hands).
I hope your emotions and smile muscles are provoked by reading this day by day account.
:-)
